PROGRAMS

The CCS comprehensive Dental Assisting course consists on hands-on clinical training and on-line education tools. The 5 month Program consists of 120 Hands-on Learning Clinical Hours, 72 Online Course Hours, and 3 Months of Internship Hours. In addition to training, you will also receive the following certifications: Basic Life Support, Infection Control, and Radiation Safety. The student, upon successful completion of this course will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:

  • Identify tooth numbers, types, oral anatomy

  • Operate dental assisting equipment

  • Sterilize dental equipment and instruments

  • Utilize proper X-ray techniques and X-ray safety

  • Use Four-Handed Dental Assisting Techniques

  • Patient reception and dismissal

  • Maintain and manage patient records

  • Communicate effectively using accurate dental terminology

  • Apply working knowledge of various dental procedures

Chairside Dental Assistant

The CCS comprehensive Dental Administration Course consists of 80 hours of hands-on training in a small group setting. Students learn dental office management software systems and other operating systems, how to set up simulated treatment plans, provide superb customer service skills while answering the phone and how to effectively schedule patients at ideal time for the dental practice needs. This class is held on Fridays from 9am- 4 pm along with internship in a dental office. After completing the Dental Administrative Assistant program, students will be able to:

  • Outline the typical responsibilities of a Dental administrative assistant, describe the personal and professional ethics required for success in this profession, and explain how dental administrative assistants are impacted by HIPAA and other healthcare-related regulations.

  • Describe how a dental administrative assistant is typically managed, focusing on administrative processes and procedures.

  • Explain the procedures to follow to create and maintain accurate dental documentation, especially with regards to patient records, insurance claim forms, and other dental documentation.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of dental insurance by outlining typical claims-processing procedures and explaining the difference between in network and out of network dental insurance plans.

  • Using standard dental terminology, explain the structures and functions of the mouth and face.

  • Describe universal precautions and explain how to maintain a safe environment in the dental office, even during emergency situations.

  • Understand how to operate EagleSoft /Dentrix Software

Hands-on Learning

This CCS 11 week course consists of Hands-on Training in a small group setting. Class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The student, upon successful completion of this course will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:

  •  Correctly identify materials needed for venipuncture/capillary stick procedures

  •  Maintain OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards

  •  Complete successful venipuncture and capillary sticks(100+)

  • Vast understanding of medical terminology and human anatomy

  • Registering the blood and storing it in the correct environment

  • Assemble Winged Infusion sets and Multi sample needles

After successful completion of the program you will be given a voucher code to take your NATIONAL CERTIFICATION.

The CCS comprehensive Clinical Medical Assistant Course consists of 167 hours of hands-on training in a small group setting.Through video and interactive experiences, learners develop the ability to think critically, make real decisions, and excel in a demanding profession. This class is held online during the week with weekly clinical hands on learning with night and day class availability. Upon successful completion of this course will have reliably demonstrated the ability to:
